Oil Mill Döllnitz GmbH is a subsidiary of Demeter-Felderzeugnisse GmbH. An international project idea became an independent industrial organic oil mill in Halle (Saale).

The journey of Oil Mill Döllnitz

The project is approved by the board of the German parent company of today’s Oil Mill Döllnitz GmbH, marking the start of contract negotiations.

Trigon Organic is founded in Odessa as a project company for the construction of Ukraine’s first purely organic oil mill. The facility was intended to process up to 12,000 tonnes of raw material per year.

The shared aim is to combine expertise in reliable raw material sourcing, flexible logistics and established sales structures to create a powerful, modern company in the organic sector. The first component commissioned is the heart of the planned production facility: modern screw presses from a renowned German manufacturer.

Russia’s war of aggression begins and suddenly deprives our project of its roots – the site – and its nourishment – the raw material. But the heart is still there.

Months of uncertainty follow. Then the decision is made to establish a site in Germany where the heart can finally begin beating again.

The perfect site is found in Halle (Saale). It soon becomes clear that the oil mill will be fully and permanently established there. The project scope is expanded significantly once again, laying the foundation for an independent oil mill.

Oil Mill Döllnitz GmbH is founded as a subsidiary of Demeter Felderzeugnisse GmbH and entered in the commercial register.

From March 2023, the first employees are hired at the site. With great commitment and passion, an empty hall is transformed into an industrial oil mill. The first certifications are carried out and successfully completed in December 2023.

In November 2024, production begins for cold-pressed organic sunflower oil and organic sunflower cake made from local sunflowers.

After the first production year, the oil mill draws a positive conclusion. The chosen path is to be continued, expanded and sustainably developed.

And now the time has finally come: we have decided to make our company visible to the outside world as well.
